Our company has been awarded the prestigious BSFZ label from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for the second time – this time for the development of an aqueous film for ceramic substrates.
The label confirms our high level of innovation and our commitment to sustainable, future-oriented production processes.
Development Goal:
Our research project focuses on developing new, water-based formulations for ceramic casting slurries. These environmentally friendly processes are intended to replace the solvent-based processes currently used in the production of ceramic substrates for the electronics industry.
The main objectives are:
Reduction of CO₂ emissions,
Avoidance of hazardous solvents (CMR substances) and
Reduction of manufacturing costs through more efficient, safe and resource-saving production processes.
Environmental and economic advantages of the new technology:
The use of aqueous films enables a significant reduction in exhaust gases, as it is no longer necessary to burn solvent-containing vapours.
This significantly reduces emissions:
Nitrogen oxides by up to 70%,
Particulate matter by around 65%,
CO₂ by around 80%.
In addition, the sustainable process chain offers further advantages:
Lower energy consumption thanks to optimised technologies,
Reduced raw material costs through the use of recycled and renewable materials,
Less waste thanks to efficient waste management and zero-waste strategies,
Improved resource efficiency through reuse and recycling,
Compliance with the strictest environmental regulations while strengthening corporate responsibility.
Sustainable innovation as a success factor:
With this development, we are making an important contribution to the sustainable transformation of the electronics industry. The renewed BSFZ label confirms our commitment to developing innovative and environmentally friendly technologies that combine ecological responsibility with economic efficiency.
